Bavarian Curling
New for 2026, come and try your hand at Bavarian Curling in the EisBahn at Cardiff Castle
A traditional wintertime team sport played on real ice in beautiful surroundings.
A game that anyone can come and enjoy, but if you’re particularly competitive then tactics are key!
Book a private lane, divide into teams and work together to win.
The game uses traditional, handmade curling sticks that glide along the ice surface. Carefully shooting your sticks, the aim is to get as close to the target centre point as possible whilst knocking your competitors’ sticks further away in a bid to gain the highest score.
Our team of friendly hosts will guide you in the basic gameplay and manage the scoring for you.
You’ll be able to order table service drinks to your personal seating area, so grab a Stein or some Mulled Wine and go head-to-head with your friends and family.
Whilst the game is played on the ice surface, you won’t need to step foot on the ice yourself, making it ideal for everyone to take part.
